Rabbi Smith Thanks Congregation Members and Friends

Open Letter to Our Congregation:

Dear Friends:

I want to officially thank all of you for your kind thoughts expressed to me. I received so many cards wishing me a speedy recovery that I actually began to worry that I may be ill. Thankfully this shoulder surgery was simply a repair and not anything of any major consequence. The healing time does limit movement. The pain is far less than I was prepared for. But it is fun to whine once in a while.

In all sincerity thank you for thinking of me. I now realize how good it makes one feel when acknowledged at various times like this. We should consider being so aware of the needs of all members and friends and make sure to follow up with them in all times, good and bad, happy and sad.

Thank you so very much.

Cordially,

Allan
